Sick turn spot at 5/10

One of the bigger pots I lost at 5/10. The sickest part is that I think I can call here profitably given reads on villain. I was up about 4k before the hand towards the end of a 5 hour midstakes session and got send back to even.

  1. thanks for the writing. i hope you'll continue.

if you'd have raised Pherz's hand, how would you have played it? any different?

Stroyn is playing way too loose PF, isn't he?

when you make this turn call you think he's got enough bluffs in his range that you will win often enough without improving...? does he have to be REAL bluffy/aggressive for you to come to have this opinion?

?what exactly were the elements of the read you had that allowed you to make this turn call?

thanks again for your writing i appreciate how clear it is and how you seem to have your reader in mind, wanting your reader to easily follow your journey.

god speed, PLO pro. god speed

  2. Well Pherz is playing a lot of hands preflop. As played he has to call the 3b multiway and stack off on the flop. I don't have too many Jacks and sevens in my 3betting range and even if I flop the odd set he still has the open ender and one quad out.

If you need to cold call a 3b out of position 9875 is one of the better hands to it with but its for sure not a money maker with one suit and 100bb beeing sandwitched between the pfr and hj.
